I'm certainly not a poet but sometimes I find it interesting to associate a poem to an image, particularly a black & white image where colour is not a distraction.
The Old Bone Breaker!
I’m on my little cycle and I’m
Whizzing through the street.
My gangly legs are spinning as I
Rub against the seat.

An hour or so of cycling and my
Skin begins to wear.
My bottom starts to lose its skin with
Pain I just can’t bear!
Abandoned in Belfast
For this old building life has come and life has gone. Happiness in its current form will probably never be known again.
The Back Door into Belfast
No parking allowed, just listen, hear the knock and enter in. I wonder what you might find!
The roller coaster
Life is like a roller coaster,
The track ahead unknown,
But if you knew what was up ahead it would make the ride very dull,
So sit back enjoy the ride,
Relax,
Just go with the flow.
Some times the track is better unknown,
it brings you to greater things than you have ever known,
just go with the flow.
The Street Dweller!
They call me “Homeless” but don’t care to ask my name. I prefer “Street Dweller” ‘cause the streets are my home.
My Cat
Inside the house,
my cat is a cat
napping and lounging all day;
but outside the house
she’s a wild jungle beast
silently stalking her prey.
The Eagle
He clasps the crag with crooked hands; Close to the sun in lonely lands, Ringed with the azure world, he stands. The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls; He watches from his mountain walls, And like a thunderbolt he falls.
Escape Route
Halfway up the stairs, it isn’t up and it isn’t down!
